This summer has been something else I thought I would get some rest and relaxation. That has not happen yet I have been just as occupied as I am during the school year. That is not a good sign because if I don't slow down I won't make it during the school year. I guess if a person want to accomplish anything you have be occupied some. I will just tough it up and accomplish whatever I need to in order to help me be a better teacher.
Marlon--Like you, I also thought I would get some rest and relaxation this summer. Boy was I wrong!! I keep saying, next week I'll be able to have a day off, but when that day arrives, I ALWAYS find something that has to be done. I know this will only make us stronger educators though!! As Toni would say, Keep swimming...
I totally understand what you are saying.........I have been so busy this summer that I am still waiting for summer to begin and yet it is almost over :(
But it's that commitment to continue growing professionally that sets good teachers apart!!

That's the right attitude Marlon! You can do it! I do know how you are feeling though. :o)
Your right Marlon! And I guess being TOO occupied is better than not being occupied at all!
Ooops! I'll correct my previous post for all the language arts folks: I meant "You're," not "Your."
You can make it; and soon, you can rest!!!!

I like your attitude!!! Maybe we can all rest for a week before the school year starts back.

Things never go as planned. We always have to be ready to roll with whatever comes our way.
